New England Ropes in collaboration with riggers and a leading manufacturer of precision machined parts designed a unique, patented new fid kit for use on all types of ropes.
The patented design allows the daily user to easily push core material through with little resistance to snagging. The geometry and design have been adapted to minimize any friction while splicing. The set comes in a range of 5 fids, 5mm – 12mm. Each fid is a solid, machined piece of aluminum that is tumbled to a high finish.
